Technology Facilitator for Programming
Charles Curtis has been employed by the Aldine Independent School District for six years. Upon completing his degree he worked at several companies over the past 30 years: HL&P, Union Texas Petroleum, Ford Aerospace, Transco Energy, Amerada Hess, Sysco Foods, Valic. He has served as a senior programmer / analyst in the Aldine ISD for the last six years. As a senior programmer Charles works on the CGI HR System and the time & attendance system while supporting multiple tasks meant to improve information sharing and process efficiency. Charles received a bachelor's degree in math and a minor in physics from Texas Southern University.

Sara Lopez

Senior Programmer
Sara Lopez has been employed by the AISD for approximately 6 years. I started working for Texas Instruments (1982) as a data entry operator and advanced to systems administrator in 3 years. Before I graduated in 1988 I had my own consulting company. I worked as a computer programmer for Merced County in California (1989) and managed the judicial system for the municipal court (traffic, criminal, civil) and the sheriff's department. During the 2nd year I participated in the conversion of the mainframe system from COBOL CICS to natural adabas.
I relocated to Houston (1994) and worked for the Houston fire department for 3.5 years, during which time I started the conversion from a Lantastic to NT network as well as developing 35 network applications using Visual Basic and Access. I supervised 10 staff members and reported directly to the fire chief. After that I worked with a consulting company, PCI (1998), a Microsoft partner. I successfully certified as a Microsoft Professional along with the following certifications: Visual Basic Applications, SQL Server Database Manager, SQL Server Database Installation, Access Developer, Creating Business Applications with Outlook, Applications with Excel and Word. One of my projects was to be a project leader for the conversion of Lotus Notes applications to Outlook Exchange applications for Compaq, another one was to be a project leader in the successful conversion (1 year) from mainframe AS400 to client server network application using Visual Basic and Access with SQL server as a back end for PGI.
Hobbies/Organizations: I enjoy reading, music, cooking, outdoor activities and spend time with my family. I enjoy all sports, especially baseball.
I have been a CCE Teacher (religious education) for about 7 years (I enjoy teaching kids), I have been a Girl Scout leader for about 7 years as well, during which time I created a troop and co-lead another. I am a volunteer for the Boy Scouts troop also. I volunteer at Church in different ministries and I also volunteer with the girls' baseball teams/games when requested.

Carl Gude

Senior Programmer
Carl Gude has 28 years of extensive expertise in the development of financial and business applications. Carl has the ability to supervise and manage as he has done while serving as lead analyst/programmer on a number of projects. After graduating from Prairie View A&M University, Carl spent 18 months active duty in the US Army as a commissioned officer (2nd LT) in charge of JUMPS (Joint United military Pay System) at Fort Benjamin Harrison. The next 25 years was spent in the cooperate world working for a variety of companies including HL&P, The Credit Bureau, and several bank service companies. Four years ago Carl started in education, first substitute teaching in the CFISD (Cy-Fair) and then in Aldine ISD and in the last 2.5 years working on the financial applications for Aldine ISD.
