Mrs. Andrews
Mrs. Andrews has served in Aldine ISD for over twenty years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at Jackson State University in December 1976. Andrews worked in the corporate sector until she became an educator in 1991, through Region IV. She taught Special Education at Francis Elementary. In 1997, Mrs. Andrews received her Master of Education in Counseling at Texas Southern University. Andrews has been a Special Ed. Counselor and Regular Ed. Counselor in Aldine for over 14 years, serving at Eckert Intermediate, Aldine Middle and presently at Plummer Middle School. She is certified as a Master Trainer in NCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) for the district and has trained staff for over 12 years. Mrs. Andrews, also, became a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist in 2003. Andrews’s primary focus as a counselor is to provide a guidance and counseling program vital to the achievement of excellence in education for all students and interventions to assist students with their academic, career and personal/social development.
   
Untraka (Monique) Deason
Untraka (Monique) Deason is an academic counselor at Plummer Middle School. She has been in this position for three years. Mrs. Deason received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2000 from the University of Houston and her Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2007 from Sam Houston State University. She has worked in Aldine I.S.D. for ten years. Mrs. Deason oversees the students with a last name from P to Z. Her other duties include: ESL Coordinator, EIT Liaison, grade transition, and classroom guidance. Mrs. Deason also counsels students to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral issues affecting their educational goals.
   
Lynn Cummings
Lynn Cummings has been a Counselor at Plummer Middle School since the School’s opening in 2005. She began her Counseling Career in Aldine I.S.D. in 2004 working on a Student Success Initiative Grant Project at Eisenhower Sr. High School School. Prior to coming to Aldine ISD, she was a Teacher and Athletic Coach in Cypress Fairbanks ISD. Cummings attended Eastern Arizona College and The University of Texas at El Paso, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M.
